Tim Wilson is a Certified Public Accountant and investment manager based in Appleton, Wisconsin, and the founder of Wilson Capital Management. He works with individuals, families, and business owners to help them make financial decisions with greater clarity in an environment where economic conditions, technology, and financial systems are evolving more quickly than traditional planning models anticipated.

Over time, Tim recognized that many of the most significant financial risks faced by households were not driven by accounting complexity, but by the absence of a clear decision making framework during periods of market stress, income disruption, or unexpected life events.

Through his work with tax clients and Financial Resilience Review engagements, Tim helps households organize their financial lives into functional layers that support day to day needs, absorb short term shocks, and allow long term growth without creating unnecessary fragility elsewhere. This structure is designed to reduce the likelihood that major financial decisions must be made under pressure when conditions are least favorable.

Tim brings an investor’s perspective to his client work, with a focus on policy based planning and adaptability rather than prediction. His approach reflects an understanding that financial systems change over time and that maintaining flexibility across savings, stability, and growth assets can improve a household’s ability to respond to both risks and opportunities as they arise. He is passionate about helping families build financial flexibility so that difficult years remain difficult rather than becoming permanently disruptive.

He lives in Appleton with his wife and three children and remains actively involved in his local community.
