Wilson Financial Overview:
WILSON FINANCIAL HISTORY
Wilson Financial was founded by Tim and Mandie Wilson with the belief that financial planning should help households prepare for changing conditions rather than rely on assumptions that the future will unfold as expected. In the years following the 2008 financial crisis, it became increasingly clear that many families were financially organized but not financially prepared for periods of disruption such as income changes, market volatility, or unexpected life events.
In the years since, access to financial tools and investment platforms has expanded significantly. Households often have more accounts, more investment options, and more information available to them than ever before. Despite this increase in access and complexity, many families remain just as exposed to financial stress during periods of change because the underlying structure of their finances has not been organized to function under unstable conditions.
As a result, the firm’s work has evolved beyond traditional planning models that focus primarily on long term projections. Today, Wilson Financial emphasizes clarity, structure, and preparedness by helping clients understand how the different parts of their financial lives function under both stable and unstable conditions.
Through tax planning and a structured financial review process, clients are guided in organizing their finances into practical functional layers that support day to day needs, absorb short term shocks, and allow for long term growth without creating unnecessary fragility elsewhere. The goal of this approach is to reduce the likelihood that major financial decisions must be made under pressure when conditions are least favorable.
Wilson Financial continues to work with individuals, families, and business owners throughout the Fox Valley to support financial decision making as economic conditions and financial systems evolve over time.
